You must not be black! Tyler Perry's movie are based on a story line mainly for African Americans. The hitting with the belt was aaway that most African American family desapline their children I wish that all families would use that method then maybe we would have children disrespect themselves and adult.

I interviewed Tyler Perry and didn't get the impression he was making this movie just for one segment of the audience

Just reaching out to the universe, in this case you, to make an appeal for repeated viewings.  I was most disappointed by The Life Aquatic when it came out, as it seemed to lack emotional thrust and a convincing world.  But after subsequent viewings, and after accepting the boundaries of its universe, I found there to be much more joy, life, and creativity contained in its frames than in most films I've seen.

thank you,

And the universe answers - watching it more than one time would be more pain than I could bear.

Dear Jackie,

My name is Paul and i thoroughly enjoyed five days to midnight and the last episode was on last night in Australia and you would not believe it i fell asleep with about 10 to 15 minutes left and don't know what happened. the last thing i remember is Randy Quaid turns on the professor so if someone could please let me know weather he lives or dies or what happened it would be appreciated. my email address is huntsman75@hotmail.com      thank you for your help.

Paul, I honestly can't remember the end of "Five Days To Midnight" but I will post your message on my website and maybe someone who does remember will contact you. Okay?

I couldn’t agree with you more on this review. I may be young at only 23, but I grew up with the British TV versions of Narnia and reading the books. This version truly is lackluster as it left out a lot of important parts of the movie. Heck 75% of the story line was left out. It basically went from we are in Narnia to the lion is dead, to the “glorious” fight scene…

I am truly disappointed, I was hoping for a make similar to the Lord of the Rings.

Cheers
Paul Haskew

Paul, it so good to have a kindred spirit on this. This film definitely suffered from my high expectations and its low delivery. Now "King Kong" that's another story. It lived up to my expectations - and then some.

Excuse me but I have some comments on your judging of movies....ok ill start with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…If I can recall you said “Like too much candy this movie causes a bellyache of entertainment” well incase you didn’t notice its called Charlie and the CHOCOLATE FACTORY…its going to have a lot of candy…it is a factory of CANDY…ok I think I’ve explained that…going on…Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride…you said  “Death becomes her, but this should’ve been a live movie rather than a stop action animation film.” Well what I see in this is that you must really not appreciate Tim Burton because his work in animation is a beautiful thing…Corpse Bride was a perfect movie to do in animation…it turned out to be perfect in every way possible including the music…going on The Exorcism of Emily Rose
"
Linney leads a strong cast but the movie needs to scare us into believing - and its PG-13 content doesn't." The Exorcism of Emily Rose isn’t supposed to be a horror movie it’s a movie telling Anneliese Michel’s story. I’m sure its PG13, so that young kids can go see it too. And Finally the 40Year Old Virgin. Might make a good skit on "SNL" but as a full movie - no way!“Ok on this one I’d have to say that you are out of your mind!...The 40-Year Old Virgin is a great movie to get you laughing…I was laughing constantly throughout the whole entire movie that my stomach hurt for two weeks. I don’t know if im the only one that has ever done this to you but im positive I wont be the last. What I can see is that you don’t appreciate movies and the work put into them. I don’t expect you to write back because more than likely you wont like/care for what I have to say, but I think I’ve made my point in say that what you do isn’t what you should be doing because well not only are you not very good at it but from seeing how many movies you’ve rated to be a bad movie it seems that you don’t like movies so this doesn’t seem to be the thing for you.

Libby Holmes

Wow, Libby, you are really up on the latest movies. We just happen to disagree on most of them. You picked the ones I didn't like but how about "Flightplan," "Into the Blue," "The Greatest Game Ever Played," and my most recent favorite "In Her Shoes"?

I do appreciate your comments. Keep them coming.

JKC

"Why not just make the movie with live actors?"  Are you kidding?  I guess you would illustrate children's books with photographs of real people and real animals. Why have  French Impressionist paintings when we can snap actual photographs of cafe scenes and still lifes?  I guess Mickey should be replaced with a real mouse.  I just know you're joking, right?? You do really see the difference. Right?

No, I am serious. There are some stories that lend themselves to animation and others to live action and I think "The Corpse Bride" would make a better live action movie. I think the look of the film, the dialogue and the music could have been captured perfectly in a live action film. But that's just my opinion.

Laugh because we will all be dead soon! Now there is a cheery thought that should have me laughing hysterically.
