"Falcon Beach" (ABC Family)

The second season of the ABC Family original series "Falcon Beach" is ready to begin. Once again it is time to go to the fictional New England seaside town and find the drama awaiting us there. This is the community where the adults are ruthless and the members of the younger generation are tanned and toned. It is pure soap opera from beginning to end but one with a few twits and a totally hot looking cast.

The series centers around Jason Tanner (Steve Byers). He is trying to grow up and be more mature but the easy ways of the beach life keep calling to him. He is trying to help his widowed mother make ends meet with the marina they run, but that income is being threatened by Trevor Bradshaw (Ted Whittall) who wants to buy them out.

All of this is complicated by the return of Paige Bradshaw (Jennifer Kydd) to town. Jason and Paige have a romantic attraction to each other but he is afraid to trust her lest she is using him to get what her dad wants. Paige says she is neutral in this argument but who knows. Maybe she is and maybe she isn't.

Meanwhile Danny (Ephraim Ellis) and Erin (Melissa Elias) are awaiting the birth of their baby. They are living with Erin's parents but that is putting a real strain on their relationship. They are toying with the idea of returning to Falcon Beach but are afraid to make the long trip due to Erin's pregnancy.

All of these storylines and more kick off the new season. Some are more interesting than others but all are intended to keep you wanting to come back for more. Sex, drama and emotional conflicts are the core of "Falcon Beach" and they are all heaped into the episodes with abundance.

This original series drew a lot of fans to its chapters last year and there is no reason to think this one won't do the same. The same handsome cast, the same exciting type of storylines, and the drama of the stories under the summer sun should make this season just as popular as the last one.
