"World's Funniest Commercials: Hilarious Liaisons" (TBS)
Because of the proven success of their previous shows on the subject, TBS takes another look at the "world's funniest commercials." This time out their collection of commercials from around the world focuses on relationships. Thus this new show is called "World's Funniest Commercials: Hilarious Liaisons" and why it is hosted by love expert Kathy Griffin.
The show picks commercials from around the world that show a variety of romantic situations. Some are funny and some not so much. Others are in good taste while others not so much. Then you also have the glib and sometimes salty comments from Griffin interspersed between the commercials.
Griffin hosts the hour long show from Las Vegas where she manages to get some of the sights before us. She also brings on a couple of Chippendale dancers in order to showcase her allure. Actually she does look pretty good. Of course you can tell she is itching to be her rough and raunchy self but this is not a format where she can do that.
The commercials are funny and some of them are absolutely hilarious. The ones from foreign countries are the most suggestive. They also feature some nudity that has been blurred out, but the message remains.
Kathy Griffin helps make things even more enjoyable. She has a smart remark for every situation. She also adds in some smug looks and some vacant stares. She knows a thing or two about love and liaisons and about funny situations. Especially funny situations!
So for a look at commercials from around the world that focus on love and other relationships tune into "World's Funniest Commercials: Hilarious Liaisons." The show premieres Sunday, March 16 at 8PM on TBS. |
