“Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura” (Tru TV)
Jesse Ventura is a former Navy Seal, wrestler, movie star and governor. Now add to that resume TV host of a reality series. The show is titled “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura” (yes he gets his name in the title). It is a show that will capitalize on any and all paranoia you might have about our government and/or the media.
Ventura has assembled a group of investigative personnel to look into any operation or occurrence which has something a little bit odd about it. In the first episode he learns of an Air Force Base in Alaska that is experimenting with weather control and perhaps even mind control.
One of the outstanding moments in this episode is Jesse standing outside the gates of the base. He has been denied admittance. He reminds them he is a former Navy Seal as well as the once governor of Minnesota, but the guards stand firm. Finally Jesse mutters something about “Not getting angry but getting even.” They still won’t let him in.
The project is called HAARP and Jesse does do some solid investigating. He gets some overhead footage of the field of towers that are pointed towards the Ionosphere. He also interviews scientists and writers who think this is a very dangerous project indeed.
It seems the point of “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura” is to inform rather than change anything. Jesse is just trying to get the information out there and then let public opinion escalate the changes.
Ventura is still playing the tough guy as he races around the country. His hair is pulled back in a poor man’s Steven Seagal pony-tail. He also adopts a stern demeanor as he goes on interviews and confrontations.
If you are one of those who think conspiracies abound in our country and around the world then this is the show for you. Jesse will feed into your paranoia and make you worry about weather changes, mind control and other horrible events.
“Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura” premieres on TRU TV, Wednesday, December 2 at 10PM. |
