“All Worked Up” (truTV)
There are reality shows on top of reality shows on TV these days. The fact that most of them are popular makes the networks and cable channels determined to find “just one more.” TruTV has done just that with its new show “All Worked Up.” This show features people who are in jobs that can get them into a heap of trouble and watching them do their work makes for the fun of the show.
In the first show that aired last week we met Ron and Amy Shirley of “Lizard Lick Towing” service. That means this couple is in the business of making repossessions. If any couple is fit for this job it is the Shirleys. Ron is a big brawny guy who goes out and gets the property that is being repossessed while Amy handles the office. As was shown on last week’s show, if someone comes into the office and tries to make trouble Amy can take them down.
Then there was Bryan McElderry. He is a process server. He has the demeanor of a very cool and calm man. Still when it is needed he can change into a persistent foe and force people to take the summons papers. The great thing about Bryan is he makes funny comments while he is doing it.
People like this populate the world of “All Worked Up” and we are sure to see the return of these three people plus some more characters in the weeks to come. That is what makes the show so unique and is what will keep audiences coming back week after week to see some more “incidents.”
God bless the creative minds we have in television. As long as there is a need for TV programming there will be someone coming up with a show that is just different enough to make it interesting. “All Worked Up” is certainly in that category.
Tune into truTV on Monday nights at 10 to see something a little bit different from the ordinary programming being offered. |
