“Fact Or Faked: Paranormal Files” (Syfy)

The Syfy Channel has numerous shows on the air which concern “ghost hunting” and also some that are concerned with “finding the truth.” Now they have one that is a combination of these two things. It is called “Fact Or Faked: Paranormal Files.” In this show there is a team of experts who watch videos of claimed paranormal events. The team then goes to the sites where these occurrences were filmed and tries to prove whether it was “fact or faked.”

In the one hour show there are usually two videos which the team investigates. They go with skepticism, always intent on proving the incident was faked. Sometimes however they are unable to do that and these failures are what make for the fun of the show.

It also helps the show’s credibility that the leader of the team is a man named Ben Hansen and he is a former FBI Agent. All the other members of the team also have areas of expertise that gives them believability. Plus the skepticism on the part of all members of the team makes the final determinations of fact, when it occurs, more believable.

The first show features a “ghost car” in Savannah, Georgia that appears to go through a chain link fence. One moment the car is on one side of the fence and the next it is on the other – and the fence is still standing. Fact or faked?

The second occurrence is in Arizona where mysterious lights in the sky are captured on video. The lights seem to move across the sky. Fact or faked? In both instances a lot of investigation is conducted before a decision by the team is made.

So if you are into the paranormal and have an open mind then this is the show for you. The team of investigators has a lot on the ball and the videos they choose to try to debunk are totally interesting. This makes for a show that will hold your attention.

So tune in on July 15 at 10PM on the Syfy Channel for a truly gripping show. It is titled “Fact Or Faked: Paranormal Files.” You will find yourself amazed.
