“Ghost Hunters” (SyFy Channel)

“Ghost Hunters” is one of the most popular shows on the SyFy Channel. It is so successful it has spawned two spin offs “Ghost Hunters International” and “Ghost Hunters Academy.”

In each episode Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson lead a team of experts to a location to explore paranormal activity. They take all kinds of technical equipment in hopes of getting a sound or a sight on tape.

In this week’s episode the location is Fort Ticonderoga, New York. Grant is not able to make this trip so Dave Gonsalves works with Jason as co-lead investigator. The two men work well together and have an easy rapport.

At the Fort they find various examples of paranormal activity and they seem able to convince the Curator of the Fort that he does have some spirits lingering around. They also make plans to return to this site to do more investigating.

My problem with these shows is I never hear what these guys hear or see what they see. They seem to be convinced they are hearing or seeing something but they never convince me. However just because I don’t see the fun in all this doesn’t mean others don’t. My wife loves this show and watches every episode. She knows each character by name and laughs at their foibles and cheers their successes.

“Ghost Hunters” recently presented its one hundredth episode so you can’t argue with that kind of success. It seems they have struck a chord and found a fan base.

To view the Fort Ticonderoga episode tune in to the SyFy Channel on Wednesday March 10 at 9PM. Maybe you will become a convert to the brilliance of the “Ghost Hunters” team.
