"Sex and the City, Country and All Over"

Just the name "Kinsey" can start a storm of controversy, so certainly a movie about the man is sure to be provocative and daring. After all this is the man who studied sex in the city, the country and all over. And in the movie, which is now out on DVD, Liam Neeson plays this lightning rod of a man who drew controversy and criticism to him.

Laura Linney plays his understanding wife who stuck by him through thick and thin. Peter Skarsgaard, Timothy Hutton and Chris O'Donnell also are featured in the movie. They play his workers who took the surveys and compiled the data on America's sexual habits.

The movie was controversial enough but the DVD adds commentaries, deleted scenes, a featurette about the movie, and other additional features. You get the full "Kinsey" experience when you get the DVD. So learn more about the man and his work when you watch "Kinsey."

Javier Bardem gives an amazing performance in the movie "The Sea Inside." He plays quadriplegic Ramon Sampedro, a man of integrity and strength. This film is controversial because it takes an honest look at this man's life and the struggles he endures based on his condition.

Sampedro decided he wanted to end his life but society didn't agree. This film highlights the struggle between the man and the world. It is an adult movie full of tension and drama. It is challenging to watch but ultimately uplifting. It is called "The Sea Inside."

The "puppet movie" you heard so much about last year is now out on DVD. Yes "Team America" has finally arrived at the video stores and it is available in both R rated and "unrated" versions.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone of "South Park" fame created this controversial movie and put it on the screen. It has enough in its plot about American heroes and American idealism to offend everyone. And this is especially true with the "unrated" version which includes the puppet sex scene.

So if you are ready for a walk on the wild side pick up "Team America." You won't see anything else like it at the video store. It is certainly unique!

One of the last places in the entertainment world that you can find the western being celebrated is on TNT. Now four of the TNT original westerns are being released on DVD. They are (1) Last Stand At Saber River (2) Purgatory (3) Conagher, and (4) The Desperate Trail.

Tom Selleck stars in "Last Stand At Saber River"; Eric Roberts and Sam Shepard star in "Purgatory"; Sam Elliott stars in both "Conagher" and "The Desperate Trail." All four of these movies revive the feel and excitement of the classic westerns of yesterday and make you realize how much you have missed seeing something new in this genre.

So saddle up and ride with four great westerns, all original movies that aired on TNT; and all starring some of Hollywood's most rugged leading men. It is time for the return of the western, and you can find these movies waiting at your local video store.

Do you remember the TV movie "Duel" which was where Steven Spielberg made his directorial debit? That film concerned a man (Dennis Weaver) battling a mysterious vehicle. Well the film "Black Cadillac" has that same sort of sense of mystery about it.

Randy Quaid is the star of this movie and he can always be counted on to turn in a good performance. But it is the mysterious "black Cadillac" that holds your attention in this film.

For a really creepy movie pick up "Mosquitoman," a film about a scientist who is injected with an experimental drug. It turns him into a creature that is half human and half insect. Now that's scary.

This one will keep you up at night but still provide some fun entertainment too. It is "Mosquitoman" and it is a stinger.

One of the most popular shows of the past few years was the highly rated "The Golden Girls." America fell in love with the four "older" women who lived together in Miami. Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty made beautiful comedy together and won us all over.

"The Golden Girls: Season Two" is now available on DVD and it is worth having for all the fans of the show. Get it and sit back and enjoy the fun of seeing the "girls" do their thing. And on the DVD look for some extras too.

There is a thirteen part series of movies for kids coming out on video and it is titled "Bugtime Adventure." This is a series of movies where the "bug world" and the world of "giants" come together. Most of the stories are based on stories in the Bible and have similar themes in both worlds. In each movie lessons are learned and good ideals and morals are stressed.

The first two movies are entitled "Blessing In Disguise" and "A Giant Problem." Make sure you get these two DVD's for your kids, and then wait for the next in the series to arrive.

Finally there is "DeVour," a movie that has an evil videogame as its villain. Now we all knew videogames were bad for your health but this videogame is harmful to the safety of the world. It takes over kids and makes them evil through and through.

Jenson Ackles, Dominque Swain and Shannyn Sossamon star in this movie. They help bring the horror to life.
