"The Movie That Launched A Thousand Tabloids"

This week we get the DVD release of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," the movie that launched a thousand tabloid covers. Yes, unless you have been hiding in a cave for the past few months you know that the two stars of this movie - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - are now a couple. You also might know that Brad and his wife Jennifer Aniston divorced after this movie was made.

So what about the movie, is it hot, hot, hot? And the answer is yes, yes, yes! Pitt and Jolie definitely do have chemistry as two assassins for hire who are married to each other. Neither knows what the other does except in vague terms and these are cover careers for their real jobs. Then they get assignments - to kill each other. That is when the fun begins.

There is a lot of action, a lot of romance, and a good bit of comedy in this film. It gets a little too comic book at the end but for most of the show it is total fun. Pitt and Jolie are at their best and with the romantic background of these two it is fun to imagine the real life chemistry going on. "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is a must see video.

One of the big items on DVD these days is the full season of a hit television show. "Friends" was one of the most popular TV shows ever and that is why "Friends: The Tenth Season" is such a must have DVD.

The tenth season was the final season for this popular show and the one where all the plot points got resolved - think Ross and Rachel. It also has some of the funniest scripts and best performances. For nostalgia's sake or just for pure entertainment, you have got to get "Friends: the Tenth Season."

You may not be nostalgic about "Scrubs" but this TV series has a fanatic fan base. People who love it, LOVE IT! Zach Braff and his cast of supporting actors gets laugh after laugh in this series set in a medical center.

This is not an ordinary comedy series but is a quirky and contagious experience of laughs galore. You can't always predict where the plot is headed, but you are always going to have fun getting there.

If you are a "Scrubs" fan you are going to have to get this DVD of Season 2. And if you haven't tried "Scrubs" yet, this is a great way to get introduced. Try it, you might just love it.

Two other TV series that might interest you are: "Tales From Avonlea: The Complete First Season" and "Five Mile Creek: The Complete First Season." "Avonlea" is taken from the writings of Lucy Maud Montgomery while "Five Mile Creek" comes for the stories of Louis L'Amour.

"Avonlea" tells the story of Sara Stanley, a young girl who is sent to live with relatives on Prince Edward Island. The time of the story is the early nineteen hundreds and Sara is played by Sarah Polley.

"Five Mile Creek" takes place in Australia and tells the story of Kate and Maggie. The time of this series is in the 1800's. Since both series cover a full season worth of episodes you get a full picture of the people and the adventures they face.

Finally with the holidays upon us what better way to keep the small kids occupied than with some Disney cartoons. First off there is "Duck Tales Volume 1" that highlights the adventures of Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. They have to put up with the stinginess of their relative Scrooge McDuck and this calls for some hilarious adventures.

In "Rescue Rangers, Volume 1" the adventures belong to Chip and Dale and their cohorts. They are involved in solving mysteries and they do it with fun, comedy and excitement. Your kids will get involved in this fun and have a ball.
