"A Slacker In Love"
Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker make a dream team in the new to DVD film "Failure To Launch." In the film McConaughey is Tripp and Parker is Paula. He is a thirtysomething slacker still living with his parents (Kathy Bates and Terry Bradshaw). They want him out of the house, so they handle a motivator - Paula.
Tripp is supposed to become so interested in Paula that he will move out in order to have some privacy. But things don't always go as they are planned and maybe Tripp wants Paula and to stay in his folks' house. Stranger things have happened.
McConaughey was recently voted "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine, and Parker has been hot since starring in "Sex and the City." So putting the two of them together is combustible. Plus on the DVD you get extras that are sure to add to your entertainment pleasure.
Make sure you check out "Failure To Launch." It is fun, funny and romantic.
If you want to enter the world of Roger Corman pick up "Asphalt Wars." This is a Corman film on DVD that looks at the world of racing. Reno (Gilbert Chavarria) wants to race cars but he doesn't have the money to finance his passion. He agrees to be the driver during a robbery in order to get the money, and we all know that is not going to turn out good.
Calvi Pabon plays his love interest and she is beautiful and interesting. Plus the racing scenes are better than to be expected in a small budget film. But that is the magic of Roger Corman. He can make small movies look large. So try "Asphalt Wars." There is more entertainment there than you would expect.
Two Disney Channel series are also out on DVD. They are "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody: Taking Over the Tipton" and "That's So Raven: Raven's Makeover Madness" Both of these shows are highly popular and the DVD adventures are well worth watching.
Identical twins Zack and Cody are the new Olsen twins. They are precocious and pure show biz stars. In this story they also get visits from Jesse McCartney and Zac Efron. So this DVD is star packed. Also you get a never seen episode and a featurette featuring McCarthy again.
On Raven Simone's DVD you get four episodes from her show plus an episode that has never been aired on TV. There is also a trivia game about the show. So you get tons of Raven fun! Don't miss the chance to enjoy both these Disney Channel shows on DVD today. |
