"Moving Rubber Tree Plants"
Everyone knows the song says an ant can't move a rubbertree plant, but in the new DVD "The Ant Bully" the ants do stuff that is equal to and better than that. I guess they have "high hopes" and a lot of energy. They also have a message to deliver. The movie takes a stand and says no one should be a bully. Be they human, animal or insect all creatures should treat each other with respect. This is the lesson learned by Lucas (voiced by Zach Tyler). He has been bullied by one of the bigger kids in his neighborhood, and so he in turn takes it out on the ants that inhabit the anthill in his front yard.
Eventually Lucas gets shrunk down to ant size and learns the bad side of bullying. All of this makes up a good moral film that has some funny moments and some endearing ones too. It is just a nice film that has a good message and a lot of star voices. These include Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage, Paul Giamatti, Meryl Streep, Regina King and Lily Tomlin.
So for some fun antics and a solid message to boot, pick up "The Ant Bully."
The final season of Jennifer Garner's hit TV season is finally on DVD. Yes, "Alias: Season 5" is now in stores and ready to be watched. These are the final shows that told about Sydney and Vaughn plus her father Jack. Most of the mysteries were resolved in these shows.
All of the other seasons are out on DVD so you can watch the A to Z of "Alias," plus you can get some super bonus features on this DVD such as commentaries from most of the stars of the show. So waste no time. If you are an "Alias" fan get this DVD today.
Jack Nicholson will probably get another Oscar nomination this year for his role in "The Departed." If you want to see how his career got started pick up the DVD with "Crybaby" and "Little Shop of Horrors" (not the musical) on it. These are two of Smilin' Jack's earliest movies and show the raw talent that was there all along.
Because of Jack these two movies were better than they ought to be. Whether he is portraying an inept criminal or a masochistic dental patient, he is convincing. This DVD shows that the range of his talent was there all along.
"Love Thy Neighbor" is a movie on DVD inspired by a true story about a family whose daughter joined a soccer team. That sounds simple enough but this is a highly competitive team and getting a position is quite a coup for anyone. After being selected the girl and her family start receiving threats.
Alexandra Paul stars in this dramatic movie that will hold your attention from beginning to end. You will want to watch this one.
Another interesting movie is "School For Seduction." This is about a woman (Kelly Brook) who opens a "school" in a town in England to teach women how to handle their men. The response and interest she gets is amazing. Watch this movie and see the ladies get empowered.
Believe it or not "The Grinch" is fifty years old. Yes the original book of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was published in 1957. To celebrate this occasion there is a new re-mastered version of the TV show "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," narrated by the uniquely voiced Boris Karloff.
This DVD will bring Christmas cheer into the hearts of your kids and everyone else in your family. It is a classic and always entertains our minds and touches our hearts. So happy birthday, Grinch, and thanks for all the fun.
The kids will have a great time if you pick up the DVD titled ""Walt Disney's Funny Factory With Goofy - Volume 3" or "Walt Disney's Funny Factory With Huey, Dewey and Louie - Volume 4." Both of these DVD's are chock full of fun adventures with some of your favorite cartoon characters
You know you can always trust the Disney name for good clean fun films that are totally kid friendly. So get these today. |
