"Billy Bob Blasts Off"

Billy Bob Thornton and Virginia Madsen co-star in the warm hearted film about achieving one's dreams. Thornton plays a man named Charlie who wants to fly in space. He has had some training but life got in the way of his plans. Now he is ready to become his own kind of astronaut and the sky's the limit.

The movie focuses on the man and his family. They want him to achieve and with their help he can. Nothing is going to stand in his way, not the cost, not the risk and not even the US Government. This is a movie about determination - real determination.

Get this DVD and enjoy this fanciful story about a man and his mission. For Charlie the dream is for the family and the family is for the dream. Go Charlie Go!

A new "Harry Potter" film is upon us once more but if you are a fan of Rupert Grint's then you will want to watch him in the DVD "Driving Lessons." In this film he plays a seventeen-year-old who has lived a boring, quiet life. His family is dull and dominated by his mother (Laura Linney). She holds him close and keeps him safe.

Then he gets a part time job and Evie (Julie Waters) comes into his life. Everything about Evie is bigger than life and she spills over into Ben's world with her enthusiasm. It is a life-changing friendship but Ben worries how he can ever hold on to it. This is when Ben has to make some mature judgments that might impact the rest of his life.

Grint and Linney are great in the film but Waters is wonderful. Get this DVD and enjoy this coming of age story that will touch your heart.

A man's hunt to discover his past is the basis for the new DVD "Neverwas." Aaron Eckhart plays a psychiatrist who turns the tables on himself as he searches for the story behind his father's children's story "Neverwas." This book holds the secret to certain mysteries that arose during Eckhart's childhood.

This book brings that magical world to life and also contains the drama that surrounds it. It is a complex story but an intriguing one, and the actors assembled do their best to make every part of it believable and enjoyable. This includes not only Eckhart but also Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Ian Holm and Brittany Murphy. How's that for a cast!

The film is rated PG-13 so even though it has a fantasy title parents should be careful of letting the smallest children watch it. But for the rest of us "Neverwas" is a magical drama that holds you enthralled.

The thrill of a small town's celebrity is the center of the DVD "Our Very Own." In this movie Sondra Locke returns home to Shelbyville, Tennessee and has an impact on the teenagers anxious to see her.

Jason Ritter, Keith Carradine and Allison Janney star in this movie that centers on one of the teenagers family life as much as the long awaited celebrity visit. Another "star" of the film is Mary Badham, who gained fame as "Scout" in the classic "To Kill A Mockingbird."

This is a bittersweet story of family alienation and hope. Ritter is solid in his role of the teenager; Carradine and Janney give him able support as his parents. Don't miss this one.
