"A Little Anger Goes A Long Way"

"Anger Management" is a video about a man (Adam Sandler) who is wrongly required to undergo anger management therapy. There is a misunderstanding on a plane and he is accused of losing his temper, but that is not the case. Still he has to go for treatment, which involves him being shown how to harness his anger. His instructor is a nut (Jack Nicholson) but no one seems to notice.

The movie has some very funny scenes as Nicholson and Sandler share his life, but then the movie starts to get tedious. By film's end you just want it all to be over. And the ending is the pits. It makes everything that has gone before it even worse than you thought.

Marisa Tomei is Adam's girlfriend and she is just dull and drab. Or maybe Jack and Adam's personalities just overwhelm hers. In any event this is a movie that starts off promising but ends up badly. Watch it at your own risk.

For insane comedy of a much funnier type watch "Run Ronnie Run." This is a movie about a man who is forever being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Someone tries to capitalize on this by turning him into a TV show - hey, it could happen! Now the world can see Ronnie have a run of bad luck.

Bob Oederkirk and David Cross are the brains behind this film and are also its stars. They have to be a little demented to come up with this wild film.

"All I want" is a sweet little movie about a young man (Elijah Wood) who decides he can learn more about life at his apartment house than he can in college. He can learn about life and love because of the people who live around him.

Co-starring with Wood in this movie are pop star Mandy Moore and Franka Potente ("Run Lola Run"). All three interact well and give the movie a push. The result is a pleasing movie that entertains but doesn't overwhelm.

Strong acting is the reason to enjoy "Confidence," a predictable movie about con men and con women. Maybe I have just seen too many of these "sting" type movies but this one seemed to be too edgy and too much of a con. Still the movie is worth seeing just for Dustin Hoffman's maniacal turn as a crook.

Edward Burns is the star of the film and Andy Garcia and Rachel Weisz are supporting players. They are all good in their roles but it is Hoffman who steals the show. He is amazing.

Your kids will want to watch "Real Wheels," a four title collection of movies that deal with vehicles of all shapes and sizes. DAVE, the host, takes the kids along for adventure after adventure and they will be squealing with pleasure all the way.

The good thing about the "Real Wheel" videos are that they teach as well as entertain. So make a date with your kids to watch all four of the "Real Wheel" titles. They and DAVE are waiting.

Kids will also enjoy "Bionicle: Mask of Light." This is a video about a world where super heroes do battle. It is a world like none they have ever seen before and the elements of good and evil are very prominent.

The look of this movie is unique while the stories of heroism are not. But the combination is a very effective one.

And the last title for children is one of Disney's best - "Sleeping Beauty." This film is now out on a two disc DVD set which not only shows the movie but also includes music videos, games and background information. It is a bountiful packaging of this Disney classic so get your copy now!

Finally we have a documentary titled "Stevie." This is a film by Steve "Hoop Dreams" James and concerns a young boy named Stevie that he mentored early in his life. But then the boy got into drugs and his life fell apart. This documentary follows that road to destruction and shows its impact on Stevie's life and those around him.
