"All That Glitters Is Not Goldie"

Kate Hudson gleams and glitters in "Raising Helen" which is now out on video. This once again proves that in movies all that glitters is not Goldie, but could be Kate who is Goldie's daughter. She certainly got the talent genes from her mom and has a screen presence that lights up every film in which she participates.

In "Raising Helen" Kate plays a woman named Helen who is named guardian of her deceased sister's three children. Her other sister (Joan Cusack) thinks they should have come to her but goes along with the court ruling. So Helen becomes a single mom and tries to bring order into her chaotic life.

John Corbett plays the love interest in the film that is directed by Garry Marshall of "Pretty Woman" fame. It is all cute and predictable and totally enjoyable thanks to the beautiful and beaming Kate Hudson.

There is also an "Aladdin" two disc special edition out now. With this "special" you not only get the movie and behind the scenes added information, you also get a video of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey singing the hit song from the film, "A Whole New World." And wait there is even more. You also get Clay Aiken singing "Proud of Your Boy" which is a song by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken that didn't make the cut to be heard in the movie.

"Aladdin" is one of Disney's greatest animated movies. Not only is the music amazing but also the antics of Robin Williams as the voice of the Genie raise the film to new comic heights. It is all that is old and some that is new in the two disc DVD version of "Aladdin."

"Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital" was not a major hit on television last year. One of the reasons was it jumped around on the schedule and ended up not getting a lot of publicity about upcoming episodes. But now you can watch all thirteen episodes from start to finish on the DVD four discs set that has been released.

Andrew McCarthy is the star of the show that also features Diane Ladd, Bruce Davidson and Ed Bagley, Jr. That is a lot of strong acting talent and of course the guiding hand of Stephen King is seen throughout the show. So take a day or two and watch the whole thing. There is more entertainment value there than you have been led to believe.

Another chiller you may want to watch is titled "Cameron's Closet." In this film a young boy seems innocent enough but people around him are dying. Does he have some evil streak in him and if not how are the murders to be explained.

Mel Harris and Cotter Smith are the stars of the film but Tab Hunter - yes, Tab Hunter - makes an appearance as Cameron's father and first victim. See the movie to see him or see it for its chills. Either way see it.

There is a new "Rubberdubbers" video out for kids and it is titled "Finbar The Mighty Movie Star." Finbar is a wind up shark that kids will adore and his story is the lead one in this collection of five animated stories. The other stories feature "Tubb, the Frog Prince," "Sploshy the Stoneseeker," "Terrence the Shopkeeper," and "Princess Amelia."

They are all perfectly delightful stories and they are all aimed to entertain your small children. Get this video today.
