"Rebecca Romijn-Stamos Is A Dangerous Beauty"

With "X-Men 2" coming to theaters in a few weeks it is time to get a new video with Rebecca Romijn-Stamos to get us primed for her repeat performance in that film. So the movie you should rent or buy is "Femme Fatale." She stars in this movie and she is this movie.

Directed by Brian De Palma, "Femme Fatale" is a mysterious and confusing film that revolves around Rebecca and her talents. Well it also capitalizes on her looks and she has never looked better. She also gets a chance to become involved with three men in the film - Antonio Banderas, Gregg Henry, and Peter Coyote.

The movie is fun just to watch and not try to understand. It just goes from one extreme to another, but Rebecca is always there to keep your eyes rested and your mind off the plot.

If you watched the recent Academy Awards show then you know that Eminem's song "Lose Yourself" from "8 Mile" won the award for Best Song. You also probably noticed that Eminem was not there to sing the song and no one else did it for him. All the other nominated songs were performed but obviously Eminem is so unique that no one could perform his music.

So if you want to see him do his thing with this song you might want to rent/buy his video of "8 Mile." This is the movie in which he made his acting debut and was surprisingly good. He played a young man who was stuck in a going nowhere job who used rap music to escape. Kim Basinger played his mother and Brittany Murphy was his sometimes girlfriend.

The movie wasn't that good but he is. He is a natural actor who was basically playing himself. And when he began to rap, he really came alive.

If you want some more fun with rappers in movies, pick up "Paper Soldiers." This one is about a rookie cop who combines forces with some inept burglars. The movie stars Jay-Z, Beanie Siegel and Memphis Bleek. You also have Stacy Dash taking part in the fun. She adds a touch of class to it all.

Alan Thicke has a role in the new film "Anarchy TV" which focuses on the freedom of the media and how free speech is sometimes squelched. Dweezil Zappa is also on view as are some of his siblings. And if you are curious about how Timothy Leary looked and acted, well he is on view here too.

Equally shocking is the film "Sordid Lives." This is a comedy about a group of people living in Texas who come together for a funeral. The woman who died was a feisty sort and she left a bunch of trouble in her wake.

Delta Burke, Olivia Newton-John, Beau Bridges and Bonnie Bedelia are some of the stars. Listen closely and you will hear the name of Bobbie Eakes mentioned. Her husband and she are friends with the author of this film so he used her name, or a soundalike, in the movie.

Believe it or not that is Mary Tyler Moore you see in the film "Cheats." It is about a group of high school guys who cheat their way through school until our Miss Mary, who plays the principal, stops them.

Matthew Lawrence and Elden Henson are two of Miss Moore's co-stars. They help make this a movie to enjoy. Well at least to enjoy Mary Tyler Moore in.

"Table One" is a film about a group of friends who start a restaurant. Things look good until the business dries up. Then it is time for the mob to come a calling to get their investment money back. Talk about heartburn!

Stephen Baldwin, Burt Young and Michael Rooker are the stars of this movie. Its palatable but not a great feast of entertainment.

Finally for the kids there is "Pokemon 4ever" which introduces Celebi who travels through time to join forces with Ash, Pikachu and Suicune to battle the forces of evil.

There is also "Baby Neptune: Discovering Water." This film for infants has the music of Handel in the background while it shows infant's a lot of different views of how we use water in our daily living.
