"Get A Date With the Angels"

"The "Angels" have descended again - Charlie's Angels that is. Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz are back as private eyes doing battle against evil forces. They are still one formidable trio of pulchritude and power.

Their new adventure is titled "Charlie's Angel: Full Throttle." Is it as good as the first adventure? No. But it is good enough to provide solid entertainment. Diaz has the most screen time and she is worth it, but I would have preferred less Diaz and more Lucy Liu.

Strangely enough Drew is the least seen Angel or it seemed that way to me. Even guest star Demi Moore seems to have more to do than she. But if they wanted to really make the movie fly they should have given "star treatment" to guest Angel Jaclyn Smith. Does she look great? You betcha!

Bernie Mac has replaced Bill Murray as the Angels go to man, and it is a misstep. Murray brought a droll sense of humor to the proceedings. Mac is funny but he is more a comic guest than a member of the team.

Still you can't go wrong with a movie about three beautiful women. These three go after the bad guys and still have time to find love. Who could ask for more?

Another adventurer is our old buddy Indiana Jones. It is hard to believe that the last Indy movie was in 1989, and that the first was in 1981. Boy does time fly!

This new boxed set of DVD's gives us all three "Indiana Jones" movies as well as a bundle of extras. These movies are especially appropriate now as it has been announced that Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, and perhaps Sean Connery are in for another adventure. Bring it on!

One of the best movies of the year is a New Zealand film titled "Whale Rider." That may be hard for you to believe but just try it out and you will see. Keisha Castle is the star of the film and she is dynamic.

Castle plays a twelve-year-old Maori princess who must convince her tribe that she is worthy to lead them. Usually it is a male who gets that honor, but through a fluke of fate the task has befallen her.

The movie is her adventure in making her presence felt, and establishing her worth. It is a fascinating journey and one you will not want to miss.

With "Brother Bear" being in theaters, and Phil Collins' songs being hummed; it is time for a new Disney Singalong tape. How about "Brother Bear: On My Way Singalong Songs"? This DVD has the songs from the movie plus others. It also has some new games to play.

Phil Collins wrote great songs for "Tarzan" and he has written some great songs for "Brother Bear." No one can resist singing along with them.

"Finder's Fee" is a movie full of surprises. The first one occurs when a young man (Erik Palladino) finds a lost wallet. He is all set to return it to its rightful owner (James Earl Jones) until he learns there is a lottery ticket inside worth six million.

Now what is he to do? Well his friends Mathew Lillard and Ryan Reynolds have their thoughts. Six million is a lot of money and will certainly raise the finder's fee. But you will have to watch the movie to learn the outcome.

Finally there is "House of Fools," a movie about some psychiatric patients who are abandoned by their doctors during an invasion. This all takes place during the Chechen War and is a story of hope and survival.

No one in the cast is a familiar name but they do manage to draw you into the story even with a language barrier. Sub-titles do help.
