"The Trilogy Continues"

The "Lord of the Rings" mania continues with the release on DVD of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers." This is the second installment of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and one of the most exciting. In this film there are battles galore and the introduction of the Gollum.

In most trilogies the second installment is the one in which nothing happens. That is definitely not the case here. The film is chock full of exciting scenes from beginning to end. Plus you get to see all of the characters played by Sir Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom and others move forward in the story.

Also there are numerous "extras" on the DVD such as Sean Astin's short film "The Long and Short Of It." Then there are commentaries and "behind the scenes" looks. It is a wonderful way to prepare yourself for the third installment that will be in theaters soon.

So get your copy of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and become a part of LOTR mania as it begins to sweep the country again.

The second installment of the "Lilo and Stitch" movies has arrived on video, and lord knows how many installments this popular series will have. It just depends on demand.

In "Stitch: The Movie" all of the original voice talent has returned, and this gives the film authenticity and continuity. The story has all of Stitch's "cousins" from outer space coming to earth. They are a wild and varied crew and they each must be rescued by Lilo and Stitch before they fall into the wrong hands.

Learning about these new characters makes up the fun of the film, and there is always the love Lilo has for Stitch and for her family that gives the film its heart. So get this one for the kids as soon as possible as they will love every minute of it.

If you are in the mood for a good old love story then you will want to see "All The Real Girls." In this movie, that takes place in North Carolina, a young man falls in love with his best friend's sister. And this makes things tough. The friend doesn't approve of the romance. But young hearts persevere and love must conquer all.

Zooey Deschanel, Paul Schneider and Patricia Clarkson are the three main stars and they are great. They give the film its full quality of romance and heartbreak.

Love is also at the core of "Raising Victor Vargas." In this film a young man searches for love and happiness as he grows up on New York's Lower East Side. He is hampered by a nutty grandmother, an adoring younger brother and a sharp-tongued half sister. But he has his dreams and his hopes that love can come to him.

Victor Rasuk, Judy Marte and Melonie Diaz star in this uplifting story of young love and idealism. Paired with "All The Real Girls" this can be one romantic double feature.

Jennifer Garner has soared to stardom as Sydney Bristow on the popular TV series "Alias." Now you can get the entire 22 episode first season as it has been released on DVD. You get all the action and excitement of the story of the college girl enlisted to be a spy for the government.

All of the first season stars can be seem including Garner, Victor Garber, Michael Vartan, Ron Rifkin and Carl Lumbly. Plus there are numerous "extras" on the DVD such as commentaries, secrets of the stunts, and even some deleted scenes.

"Alias" will be returning to TV soon but the first season was when it was all fresh. Take a look and see what caused it to be so popular.

And if you want more action, check out Steven Seagal in "Out For A Kill." In this movie Seagal's character takes on a Chinese Tong and is victorious. Seagal can be a powerful force when he gets riled up and he gets riled in this movie when he is falsely accused of drug smuggling.

Finally the kids will love "A Playhouse Disney Halloween" which features stories with the Rolie Olie Polie characters and the Winnie the Pooh gang. It is a hundred minutes of pure fun. Get it for the kids and watch them smile.
