"Those Bad Boys Are Back"

Martin Lawrence and Will Smith had one of their best movies and biggest hits in "Bad Boys." As Miami based crime fighters they turned the town upside down. Well guess what! They are back and doing it all over again in "Bad Boys II." Luckily they are just as much fun and just as exciting as ever.

This is also a movie that is crammed full of exciting car chases and exploding buildings. There is a lot of firepower used in this movie but it all adds to the excitement and the enjoyment. Of course without Lawrence's wild humor this movie wouldn't be half as good.

So give a cheer that the boys, bad boys that is, are back in town and having a great time entertaining you. Rush out and get your copy of "Bad Boys II" and have two hours of super hot fun.

For more excitement along this same line, get "Alias, Season 2." If you are not yet hooked on this popular ABC series then you might want to get caught up with this full season set. Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) leads one action filled life and this season's collection of shows is a prime example of how she lives and works.

This is also the season that introduced her mother (Lena Olin), a complex and dangerous person if there ever was one. She and a first rate cast help Garner make this series a winner. See the whole season two without interruption and you'll be hooked.

If you want to see what all the hoopla in the "Bennifer" story is all about, go out and rent "Gigli." Yes, this is the movie that starred two of Hollywood's brightest stars and made people want to gag. Too much of a good thing was just too much of a good thing.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are not the problems with this movie. The story is the problem with the movie. It tells about two hit people (Affleck and Lopez) and how they fall in love. Sound stupid? Well it is. But Lopez and Affleck are the victims of the script and the direction. And their own publicity machines.

Still "Gigli" is a collector's treasure for being the movie that showed the public couldn't stomach them together any more.

The public also doesn't seem to like teen singer Mandy Moore in just any movie. She was a hit in "A Walk To Remember" but that was a movie based on a best seller. In "How To Deal" she is the teen who solves everyone's problems, or at least tries to do that.

She has her hands full with her parents' divorce, her sister's strange courtship, and her best friend's pregnancy. She doesn't even have time for her new boyfriend (Trent Ford) and that is a problem.

Peter Gallagher and Allison Janney play her parents and the acting in this movie is good all around. Still it is a pretty flat story and Moore is less than an accomplished actress.

Hillary Duff isn't a great actress either but she gets by on pure charm. You can see it on display in "Lizzie McGuire: Fashionable Lizzie" and "Lizzie McGuire: Growing Up Lizzie." Both of these DVD's contain four episodes from "The Lizzie McGuire" TV series.

In all of the shows Duff shows why kids love her and her character of Lizzie. She is totally adorable and so are the shows. Plus they are teen friendly.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (no J-Lo here) are the executive producers of "The Battle of Shaker Heights," a coming of age movie about a seventeen year old boy (Shia LeBeouf). This movie is part of the "Project Greenlight" series and actually is a pretty fair film.

Amy Smart and Eldon Benson are LeBeouf's co-stars and they give him good support in this story about finding yourself and finding love. Who could ask for more!

In "Shadow Fury" we get the story of a cloned human who is turned into a killing machine. Can good triumph over evil? Can the killing stop? Can Pat Morita make a comeback? Can Sam Bottoms play anything other than George Bush? All of the answers can be seen in this video.

Finally there is "The Invitation" in which a rich, powerful man invites several friends to his private island. He wants them to share in his newfound happiness. He wants them to experience his turnaround in life. So he gives them all poison and tells them to repent of their sins or they won't get the antidote. What a friend!

Lance Henriksen stars and movies like this are why he has a career.
